Ingredients

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp orange extract
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • Food coloring (orange, optional)
  • Granulated sugar for rolling


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  2. Mix in the orange extract and orange zest.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a soft but moldable dough forms.
  4. Add a drop or two of orange food coloring if desired and knead until evenly colored.
  5. Pinch off small pieces and roll into 1-inch balls, then flatten with a fork or mold into shapes.
  6. Roll each piece lightly in granulated sugar to prevent sticking.
  7. Place mints on a parchment-lined tray and allow to dry at room temperature for 12–24 hours until firm.
