Ingredients
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp orange extract
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Food coloring (orange, optional)
- Granulated sugar for rolling
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in the orange extract and orange zest.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing until a soft but moldable dough forms.
- Add a drop or two of orange food coloring if desired and knead until evenly colored.
- Pinch off small pieces and roll into 1-inch balls, then flatten with a fork or mold into shapes.
- Roll each piece lightly in granulated sugar to prevent sticking.
- Place mints on a parchment-lined tray and allow to dry at room temperature for 12–24 hours until firm.
Notes
