Description

Sticky garlic chicken noodles tossed in a sweet and savory sauce with tender chicken and slurp-worthy noodles, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, optional for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken and cook until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Pour sauce into the skillet and simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat.
  9. Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated and sticky.
  10. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
