Description

Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and savory appetizer inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It’s loaded with tender beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and gooey melted cheese — perfect for game day, parties, or any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef or shaved steak
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Sliced baguette, crackers, or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onion and bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add the sliced roast beef or shaved steak and cook for another 2–3 minutes until warmed through. Remove from heat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Add the cooked beef and vegetables to the bowl along with shredded cheeses. Stir to combine evenly.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and spread evenly.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or until hot and bubbly, stirring occasionally.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with sliced baguette, crackers, or chips.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use a mix of provolone and white American cheese.
  • You can prep everything ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook.
  • To make it spicier, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Keep on the ‘warm’ setting during parties to maintain creamy texture.
