Description
Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and savory appetizer inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich. It’s loaded with tender beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and gooey melted cheese — perfect for game day, parties, or any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef or shaved steak
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Sliced baguette, crackers, or tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté diced onion and bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Add the sliced roast beef or shaved steak and cook for another 2–3 minutes until warmed through. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Add the cooked beef and vegetables to the bowl along with shredded cheeses. Stir to combine evenly.
- Transfer the mixture to a slow cooker and spread evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 2 hours or until hot and bubbly, stirring occasionally.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm with sliced baguette, crackers, or chips.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use a mix of provolone and white American cheese.
- You can prep everything ahead and refrigerate until ready to cook.
- To make it spicier, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
- Keep on the ‘warm’ setting during parties to maintain creamy texture.
