Fluffy pancakes baked with savory sausage for an easy, satisfying breakfast that combines sweet and savory flavors in one dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 2 cups pancake mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or butter (for greasing)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned; drain excess grease.
  3. Spread cooked sausage evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk pancake mix, milk, eggs, and maple syrup if using.
  5. Pour pancake batter evenly over the sausage.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and set in the center.
  7. Remove from oven, let rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.
