Description

A giant chocolate chip cookie baked like a pie with crisp edges and a soft, gooey center, perfect for sharing and serving warm with ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: vanilla ice cream for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch pie dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Press dough evenly into the prepared pie dish.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve warm, optionally topped with vanilla ice cream.

Notes
