Ingredients
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini
- 1 tablespoon butter (for sauce)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Instructions
- Cook cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season sliced steak with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon butter.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Stir in parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat.
- Return steak to the skillet and gently mix everything together.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, deglaze the skillet with a splash of white wine before adding cream.
- Swap steak for grilled chicken or shrimp if preferred.
- Add spinach or sundried tomatoes for extra color and texture.
- Use fresh refrigerated tortellini for best results.
