Description

Garlic Steak Tortellini is a rich and satisfying dish featuring tender seared steak tossed with cheese tortellini in a buttery garlic cream sauce. It’s a quick yet indulgent meal perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank), sliced thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (20 oz) package cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for sauce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season sliced steak with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon butter.
  6. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  8. Stir in parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes until sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Add cooked tortellini and toss to coat.
  10. Return steak to the skillet and gently mix everything together.
  11. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, deglaze the skillet with a splash of white wine before adding cream.
  • Swap steak for grilled chicken or shrimp if preferred.
  • Add spinach or sundried tomatoes for extra color and texture.
  • Use fresh refrigerated tortellini for best results.
