Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush lightly with 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  3. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp; set aside.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and black pepper.
  5. Heat remaining olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  8. Finish shrimp with lemon juice and remove from heat.
  9. In a bowl, mash avocados with lime juice, salt, and herbs.
  10. Spread avocado mixture onto crostini.
  11. Top with garlic shrimp and garnish with red pepper flakes if desired.
  12. Serve immediately.
