Description
Garlic Butter Bowtie Pasta with Beef is a hearty, comforting meal featuring tender ground beef tossed with bowtie pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce. It’s simple to make, full of flavor, and perfect for a quick family dinner.
Ingredients
- 12 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add beef broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Return cooked ground beef to the skillet and mix well with the garlic butter sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley until everything is well combined.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, add red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Add vegetables like spinach, peas, or bell peppers for extra color and nutrition.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated with a splash of water or broth.
