Description
These Easy Tiramisu Brownies combine the rich, fudgy texture of classic brownies with the creamy, coffee-infused flavors of tiramisu for a decadent dessert that’s simple to make and sure to impress.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp instant espresso powder
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter and chopped chocolate together in 30-second intervals until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
- Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Add flour, salt, and espresso powder; mix until just incorporated. Stir in the cooled brewed coffee.
- Pour brownie batter into prepared pan, reserving 1/4 cup of the batter for topping.
- In a separate bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, egg yolk, and coffee liqueur until smooth.
- Spread the mascarpone mixture over the brownie batter. Dollop remaining brownie batter on top and swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is just set. Do not overbake.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, increase espresso powder to 2 tablespoons.
- Substitute mascarpone with cream cheese if unavailable.
- Store brownies in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Best served chilled with a dusting of cocoa or shaved chocolate.
