Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or rotini)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
- Simmer for another 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving.
