Description
A simple marinated cheese appetizer layered with salami and green olives, tossed in an herbed vinaigrette for an easy and flavorful party bite.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cheddar cheese, cubed
- 8 oz Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 6 oz salami, sliced into quarters
- 1 cup green olives, drained
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cheddar, Monterey Jack, salami pieces, and green olives.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, parsley, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the cheese mixture and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to blend.
- Stir before serving and serve chilled or at room temperature with toothpicks or crackers.
