Description

Dill Pickle Parmesan Chicken is a tangy, juicy, and flavorful chicken dish marinated in pickle juice, coated with parmesan and seasonings, then baked or air-fried until crispy. It’s a simple, bold, and addictive recipe perfect for pickle lovers.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1 cup dill pickle juice (for marinating)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
  • Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
  • Dill pickle slices (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a bowl or zip-top bag and pour dill pickle juice over it. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C) or preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  3. Remove chicken from marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
  4. In a small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Brush chicken lightly with olive oil if desired, then coat evenly with the Parmesan seasoning mixture.
  6. For oven: Bake chicken on a lined sheet for 22–25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. For air fryer: Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Garnish with fresh dill and serve with pickle slices.

Notes

  • The longer the chicken marinates in pickle juice, the more tender and flavorful it becomes.
  • Use finely grated parmesan for best coating adhesion.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, salad, or roasted veggies.
  • Great for meal prep — stays moist and reheats well.
