Description
Comforting crockpot chicken and Bisquick dumplings made with tender shredded chicken, vegetables, and fluffy dumplings simmered in a creamy broth.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup carrots, sliced
- 1 cup celery, sliced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
- 2/3 cup milk
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Add chicken, chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning to the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Remove chicken, shred it, and return it to the crockpot.
- Stir in the cream of chicken soup.
- In a bowl, mix Bisquick and milk until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dumpling dough onto the hot soup mixture.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 45–60 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not lift the lid while dumplings are cooking.
- Use halal-certified chicken and soup if required.
- For thicker broth, remove lid for the last 15 minutes.
