Description

Crispy Pickle Cheese Bites are crunchy, golden-fried appetizers featuring tangy pickle slices wrapped in melted cheese and coated in seasoned breadcrumbs for the perfect savory snack.

Ingredients

  • 12 dill pickle slices, patted dry
  • 12 small cubes mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Pat pickle slices completely dry with paper towels.
  2. Place a cube of cheese on each pickle slice and press gently.
  3. Coat each bite in flour, then dip in beaten eggs.
  4. Mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Roll each piece in seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
  6. For extra crispiness, repeat egg and breadcrumb coating.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
  8. Fry bites in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  10. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Freeze coated bites for 20 minutes before frying to prevent cheese leakage.
  • Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 6–8 minutes as a lighter option.
  • Serve with ranch or spicy mayo.
