Ingredients
- 12 dill pickle slices, patted dry
- 12 small cubes mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Pat pickle slices completely dry with paper towels.
- Place a cube of cheese on each pickle slice and press gently.
- Coat each bite in flour, then dip in beaten eggs.
- Mix breadcrumbs with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Roll each piece in seasoned breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
- For extra crispiness, repeat egg and breadcrumb coating.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F).
- Fry bites in batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Freeze coated bites for 20 minutes before frying to prevent cheese leakage.
- Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 6–8 minutes as a lighter option.
