Description

A rich and comforting one-pan creamy chicken gnocchi skillet made with tender chicken, pillowy gnocchi, and a savory Parmesan cream sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 16 oz potato gnocchi
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season chicken with salt and black pepper and cook until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft.
  4. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  6. Add gnocchi and Italian seasoning, then simmer for 3–4 minutes until gnocchi is tender.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet and mix well.
  9. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  10. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use shelf-stable or refrigerated gnocchi.
  • Do not overcook gnocchi to avoid mushy texture.
  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
