A rich and comforting one-pan creamy chicken gnocchi skillet made with tender chicken, pillowy gnocchi, and a savory Parmesan cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 16 oz potato gnocchi
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt and black pepper and cook until golden and cooked through; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion until soft.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Add gnocchi and Italian seasoning, then simmer for 3–4 minutes until gnocchi is tender.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and mix well.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use shelf-stable or refrigerated gnocchi.
- Do not overcook gnocchi to avoid mushy texture.
- Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
