Description
A rich and indulgent breakfast made by dipping cinnamon rolls in a creamy egg mixture and cooking them like classic French toast.
Ingredients
- 6 cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)
- Maple syrup, for serving
- Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the cinnamon rolls in half horizontally.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
- Dip each cinnamon roll half into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Place onto the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove from heat and repeat with remaining rolls.
- Serve warm with maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.
Notes
- Use day-old cinnamon rolls for best texture.
- Add a splash of cream for extra richness.
