Description

A rich and indulgent breakfast made by dipping cinnamon rolls in a creamy egg mixture and cooking them like classic French toast.

Ingredients

  • 6 cinnamon rolls (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup, for serving
  • Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the cinnamon rolls in half horizontally.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar.
  3. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt butter.
  4. Dip each cinnamon roll half into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  5. Place onto the hot skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from heat and repeat with remaining rolls.
  7. Serve warm with maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old cinnamon rolls for best texture.
  • Add a splash of cream for extra richness.
