Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with a creamy cheesecake layer for the perfect balance of chocolate and tangy sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cheesecake layer)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth.
  7. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until creamy.
  8. Dollop cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter.
  9. Use a knife to gently swirl the cheesecake into the brownie batter.
  10. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set but slightly fudgy in the center.
  11. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep brownies fudgy.
