Description

Tender sea scallops seared to perfection and coated in a rich, buttery garlic sauce, making an elegant yet quick seafood dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Pat scallops completely dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add scallops in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter to the skillet.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in lemon juice.
  7. Return scallops to the skillet and spoon garlic butter over them.
  8. Cook for 1 minute, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.

  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure proper searing.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.
