Description

Classic baked stuffed cannelloni filled with a rich ricotta and spinach mixture, topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese for a comforting Italian meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 cannelloni pasta tubes
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, squeezed dry and chopped
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a baking dish and spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, spinach, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spoon or pipe the filling into the uncooked cannelloni tubes.
  5. Arrange stuffed cannelloni in a single layer in the baking dish.
  6. Pour remaining marinara sauce evenly over the pasta.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  8. Remove foil, sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top, and bake uncovered for 10–15 minutes until bubbly and lightly golden.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish if desired, and serve.
