Description
Tender baked pears topped with creamy goat cheese, sweet honey, and tart dried cranberries for an elegant and easy dessert or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 3 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: chopped walnuts or pecans for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
- Brush pears lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and a small pinch of salt.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, until pears are tender.
- Remove from oven and spoon goat cheese into the center of each pear.
- Top with dried cranberries.
- Drizzle honey over each pear.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese is slightly softened.
- Remove, add nuts if using, and serve warm.
Notes
- Use Bosc or Anjou pears for best baking results.
- Can be served as a dessert or a light appetizer.
- Substitute maple syrup for honey if desired.
